Setting the world spawn point on your Minecraft server is a simple process with DazcoHost. This guide walks you through the steps to change where players appear when they first join or respawn after death.
Important: In order to set the world spawn, you must have OP access. Check out our guide on how to give someone OP on your Minecraft server for more information.
Setting the World Spawn Via In-Game Commands:
-
Make sure you are an Operator on your Minecraft server by following this tutorial.
-
Join your Minecraft server.
-
Navigate to the location you want to set as the new world spawn
-
Open your chat and type:
/setworldspawn -
Press Enter to set the spawn point at your current location
Alternative Method - Setting Spawn at Specific Coordinates:
You can also set the world spawn at exact coordinates by using:
/setworldspawn <x> <y> <z>
Replace <x>, <y>, and <z> with the coordinates you want to set as the spawn point.
Note: You can also run this command directly from your DazcoHost game console. Just remember to leave out the forward slash ( "/" ) since the console doesn't require it!
